The next Spirited Sessions Virtual Edition is coming, Monday, June 29th, 4pm EST

This time we’re taking you to Montreal to meet two knife-wielding professionals walking us through how to properly care for and utilize knives in a bar setting. As bartenders and bar professionals we often focus so heavily on our favourite jiggers, shakers, bar spoons etc. But how often do we focus on the knife that we use every single day to cut, prep and beautify our mise en place?

You might not realize it, but your knife could be one of your most valuable bar tools. So join us, and sharpen your skills with Jacques Gallant of Gallant Metalworks who will give us proper lessons in knife-care and Chef, Janice Tiefenbach of Restaurant Elena as she schools us on proper knife techniques for precision cutting and beautiful presentations. We’ll also be tossing the hosting reins to Stephanie Darwish of our sister company, Molly Pitcher.

Your attendance is a donation: In an effort to bring attention to the much needed dialogue revolving around anti-racism and anti-discrimination, we have decided to continue to make a donation to Egale Canada, The Black Health Alliance, and The Native Women’s Association of Canada. We will also be pledging $5 on behalf of Canadian attendees that consent us to do so upon registration. These charities are dedicated to creating action plans and helping raise awareness about violence against disenfranchised communities across the country.
